XT File Shredder Lizard uses hexadecimal values to wipe files. After that the file is renamed and truncated to zero length.
The files that will be permanently removed are stored in a list. To add files to that list select the Add Files command from the File menu or Toolbar. File Dialog Box will be open to select one or more files. These files will be added to the list. To remove files from list, select them and activate Remove Selected Items from Edit menu. To empty file list, select menu command named Remove All Items.
When you chose which files to be permanently deleted select WIPE All Files. You can also select some of them and activate WIPE Selected files menu command. From now the data of these files can’t be returned.
You can wipe content of a folder. All files in a folder and his subfolders will be permanently deleted.
You can also wipe recycle bin contents.
To terminate deletion of the files, click the Cancel button in the Abort dialog box. This will stop deletion of the current file or folder, but this file may be corrupt and can’t be used any more.
